Cowslip
Cowslip is a herb with an affinity with the lungs and joints
Cowslip, Primula veris, is a sweet relative of primulas (Primula vulgaris) and polyanthus. Its common name is due from cowslop because it used to be found in cow pasture. Primula and cowslip may be substituted for each as plant medicine. Roots are the ideas to use but in doing so you lose the plant so the flowers are more sustainable. It's also no longer a plant that is able to be wild harvested as it is so rare in the wild (in Europe).
Considering this time of year as spring is upon us, many people seem to come down when the ills and chills. Maybe the hangover from winter with the lack of vitamin D? Perfect timing as it's in flower right now in my garden.
